Wyoming Short Film Contest - We're the Band -
I have entered my documentary “We’re the Band” about Wyoming musician and artistic adventurer Chad Lore into the Wyoming short film contest and have been bugging everyone I know for votes ever since. The movie needs to be in the top 10 films at the end of the voting round in order to make it to the judging round and if the judges like it I could win $25,000 for my next project. I would really like to do a stylized western, which I will not be able to pull off without major funding!

Prophetic or pathetic?

The people across the street tore up their front yard. It’s only fertilized dirt while they’re waiting for the new grass to grow in.
Around midnight, I get these urges to plant a sunflower seed in the center of their yard.
In a few months, this yellow stranger could sprout out of the ground and greet those people. I can’t imagine they would feel anything but pleasantly surprised and a little baffled at where that 2 foot tall mystery came from. Maybe they have a daughter who would smell it and then every time afterwards when she sees a sunflower, she’ll think of home. Maybe it would blossom on St. Patrick’s Day and the dude would pick it for his wife/girlfriend/boyfriend (I don’t know my neighbors too well) and start a new tradition of yellow flowers on a green holiday.
But the sunflower seeds you buy at Mini-Mart don’t turn into flowers.
